Xamk’s Worklife Boom: Great Encounters and Multidisciplinary Networking

As a low-threshold meeting place, the event has received positive feedback from participants. Companies, in particular, value Worklife Boom as a necessary multidisciplinary platform for interaction. The event allows them to offer students jobs or internships and deepen their collaboration with Xamk in various ways.

Students on every campus appreciate the connections with businesses. When asked about the benefits of the event, top responses include summer job opportunities and networking. In the best cases, participants may even secure a job or find a thesis topic during the event.

Xamk’s Worklife Boom -events are organized annually in January across all campuses. This year, nearly 50 exhibitors registered to participate across Xamk’s venues. Xamk has been organizing the Worklife Boom -event since 2017. In Savonlinna, instead of Xamk’s Worklife Boom, a Recruitment Fair was organized in collaboration with Samiedu Vocational College.
