Xamk celebrates summer and autumn graduates on 19th Dec 2024

The ceremony will start at 3:00 PM and will last about an hour. You can watch the broadcast at live.xamk.fi.

The event will feature speech from president and CEO of Xamk Heikki Saastamoinen, speech from Ari Hämäläinen, CEO of Norelco Oy in Savonlinna, greetings from Joona Haatainen, who was chosen as Alumnus of the Year, and thoughts from the graduating students about their time studying. The musical performance will be by Aliisa Syrjä.

So far in 2024, 2228 professionals have graduated from Xamk, (1765 Bacherlor’s degree and 463 to Master’s degree) and this number will continue to grow in the final weeks of the year, as graduation can be applied for on any day of the year.

“We congratulate each of our graduates. Completing a degree is something to be proud of. We thank all the organizations that have taken our students for internships, offered thesis topics, and brought interesting projects for our students to implement. Through collaboration, we bring new experts to our regions who are responsible for and develop our society’s functions. For example, this year, a total of 881 experts have graduated in the social and health sector, 459 in the engineering sector, and 518 in the business sector,” commented president and CEO Heikki Saastamoinen.
