The Job and Internship Search Application Service Changes in Spring 2025

The new Rekruu placement service offers students and alumni a more flexible way to search for jobs and internships. Networking with companies is easier, as job seekers and employers can contact each other directly through the application.

“Employers will reach Xamk students and alumni through Rekruu in the future. Companies should register with Rekruu immediately, even if they do not currently have job or internship openings. Our students and alumni can follow interesting companies through the application, and companies can follow potential future talents,” says Heta Vilén, Xamk’s Stakeholder Manager.

Job seekers use Rekruu via a mobile application, which can be downloaded from Google Play and the App Store. The service is completely free for job seekers. For companies, the service is free, but there are paid additional services available, such as visibility and targeting. Employers use the browser version of the service.

Rekruu integrates with Työmarkkinatori. All job postings published on Työmarkkinatori are automatically visible on Rekruu as well.

Rekruu is a Finnish company. The service has been developed in collaboration with Xamk.

Rekruu does not replace the national Jobiili service, which is used for placing internships in the social and health sector.

Benefits and Advantages of Rekruu Service

Ease of Job Search

In the application, jobs can be easily searched with one’s own job seeker profile without constantly writing applications. The application offers a targeted search function for both job seekers and providers. The search shows job seeker or job postings that match the desired degree, skills, or location.

Open Communication

Job search and job postings are openly browsable. Desired job seekers or employers can be contacted directly via private message. This enables “silent” searches. Job seekers can follow companies they are interested in.

Personalized Preferences

Personalized preferences can be added to the application to indicate what kind of job or employee is being sought. Preferences are linked to the job seeker’s profile, which match the search criteria.
