People and user-driven approaches
The three cornerstones of RDI impact model strive from our vision: year 2030 Xamk has renewed the vitality of South-Eastern Finland together with our partners and working life.
By describing the desired future, the impact model describes the goal for our RDI activities as well as what kind of society we are aiming for.
We improve the user experiences in companies and communities as well as the well-being of citizens by utilizing digital services.
- The environment and sustainability
- People and user-driven approaches
- Entrepreneurship and added value
Xamk’s expertise in user-driven design of services helps companies create high-quality services that their customers are willing to pay more for. User-orientation in well-being services creates even greater impact as people benefit more from these services.
Themes related to well-being, the environment, food and logistics have succeeded in creating nationally significant service business.
Xamk’s RDI activities support communities and create community tools. Especially with young people, new models of communality are being developed and young people’s participation in global networks, such as the climate movement, is being studied.
New families, living in several municipalities, remote work, immigration and migration have brought new permanent and part-time residents to South-Eastern Finland. New residents can easily find each other through both new and proven processes of community. In the future, flexible communities will be the most important factor explaining the well-being and vitality of South-Eastern Finland.
Digital services are close to people: they are available and easy to use. RDI activities support digital capabilities and build well-being services that help especially the elderly. Xamk’s expertise in creating well-functioning digital health and social services supports democracy and well-being throughout Finland.
