In Kotka region Xamk directly affects the regional vitality, for example through Xamk’s employment impact through a steadily growing number of staff and in the form of paid tax revenues.
In Kotka, over 500 new experts graduate from Xamk annually to various fields, and the employment rate of graduates is very high.
Xamk’s purchases and investments have a tremendous impact on employment in the Kouvola region. Direct vitality effects include Xamk’s employment impact in terms of the number of staff, generated tax revenues, investments in the region, and purchasing of services.
An impressive 70% of the highly educated workforce in Kymenlaakso region has graduated from Xamk.
