Developing working life through continuous learning
Continuous learning is a key for developing the ability to change as well as the skills and competences needed in working life. We need new innovations for work-based learning.
We are reforming higher education – workplace collaboration models and producing RDI solutions for learning-oriented work communities. The needs arise from working life and are jointly resolved by developing solutions, and making use of available regional, national and international project funding.

Diversity of working communities and good working life
Workplaces become more diverse and the ways of working are changing. We promote the development of good working life by utilizing various project funds and consortia.

Future higher education
The transformation of working life challenges also higher education to transform. We are developing future higher education as part of international, national and regional networks in both research and development activities. We also promote the development of student well-being in cooperation with the Student Union Kaakko, among others.

Research
We carry out high-quality academic research related to the phenomena of renewing working life. Current research topics include psycho-social factors and quality of work in the sector of social services and health care, and transformative agency in the context of lifelong learning. Research is conducted in both national and international co-operation.
Experts
As a head of research group my main task is promoting and supporting the work of my team members and facilitating project preparation. I also participate in the internal development of Xamk through my expertise, especially in promoting cooperation between RDI and education (continuous learning and Master´s degrees).
The topic of my own dissertation research is transformative agency in the context of lifelong learning
Project Researcher at RescTRUST research project. Previously Project Researcher at a project concentrating on effectivity of Post Critical Incident Seminar for rescue workers.
I work as a Finnish language and communication teacher and currently as an expert in the Monivoima project. I have taught in various programs, primarily in business administration and information technology. I serve as a language advisor for theses and also as a supervisor in thesis assistance. I am a member of Xamk’s accessibility working group. Accessibility in its various forms, especially clear language, is important to me. These principles guide my teaching and other work. I also have training as a language consultant. Additionally, I am a digital mentor and involved in pedagogical training.

My work at Xamk:
Languages teacher of English, Finnish and Russian. I also design and teach courses in communication. I participate in developing Xamk’s teaching and, as an RDI specialist, enhance co-operation between teachers, RDI and working life. My research interests are learning design, SMEs, emotional intelligence, diversity in working life, multilingual communication, sales and marketing, and the utilisation of service design tools and storytelling in different contexts. I work as a part-time entrepreneur. As an expert of international network I participate in various business development projects. I am also fluent in Swedish and Norwegian. When it comes to academic research I have edited publication, written articles, published several podcasts and scripted videos.

My Work at Xamk:
I work as a work ability management developer in the Taylored Work project, focusing on business partnerships. I assist companies in tailoring their work ability management models to be impactful and responsive to individual needs. During the project, we will publish content and trainings that benefit all small and medium-sized enterprises.
