Targeted youth work centre of expertise

Juvenia was a part of Targeted Youth Work Centre of Expertise, which started in spring 2020.

The project is finished.

The aim is to develop outreach youth work and workshop activities

Development activities highlight the strengths of outreach youth work and workshop activities, as well as multidisciplinary cooperation in promoting youth inclusion, preventing substance use and supporting mental health.

Juvenia produces information

A researcher from Xamk’s Youth Research and Development Centre Juvenia supports the knowledge production of Centre of Expertise in a various ways and executes a clarification on the regional equality of outreach youth work and workshop services from the perspectives of young people and professionals. The role of targeted youth work in the service system and multidisciplinary cooperation in municipalities are also included in the review.

Four organisations in the centre of expertise

Targeted Youth Work Centre of Expertise’s responsibility is Into – Association for Outreach Youth Work and Workshop Activities, other organisations are EHYT Finnish Associatoin for Substance Abuse Prevention, MIELI Mental Health Finland and Youth Research and Developmen Centre Juvenia as co-producers of the Centre of Expertise.

The Ministry of Education and Culture is responsible for the funding and mission of the Targeted Youth Work Centre of Expertise.
