Creative Climate Action: Bridging Creativity and Sustainability in CCIs

GreenCCircle aims to empower Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) to tackle climate change by developing a comprehensive support scheme. This initiative will identify skill gaps, create the GreenCCIrcle training for sustainable skills, and establish a multi-stakeholder ecosystem across 9 countries, fostering collaboration and innovation. With a focus
on the EU Green Deal and Circular Economy principles, it will engage 120 learners, facilitate cross-industry fertilisation, and develop tools
for environmental impact assessment and sustainable business practices. GreenCCircle introduces the Sustainability Facilitator role, enhancing CCIs’ green transformation and resilience. This project not only aims to improve green skills and attitudes within CCIs but also to foster EU-level collaboration and align with EU values, laying the groundwork for a future social entrepreneurial initiative.

GreenCCircle empowers the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) to embrace sustainability and innovation, fostering a transformative journey towards environmentally responsible practices and green skills.

Innovate, Collaborate, Sustain: GreenCCircle’s Vision for a Resilient CCI

GreenCCIrcle aims to equip CCIs with tools for sustainable transformation, emphasizing creativity, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship to address climate change. This project fosters collaborations across HE and VET institutions, industries, and research to enable CCIs in developing sustainable practices. Through the Living Lab methodology, it promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, creating a vibrant environment for experimentation and innovation. Participants will engage with real-world challenges, enhancing skills vital for market survival and valued by employers. The project focuses on embedding sustainability and circular economy principles from the early stages of creative processes, aiming to transform CCIs into sustainability change-makers and wave-makers across sectors.

GreenCCIrcle’s training programs, aligning with EU instruments and standards, will identify and address skill gaps, offering pathways to qualifications recognized at the EU level. It proposes an outcome-based learning approach, encouraging the adoption of micro-credentials and open badges for skill validation. The training, blending virtual and face-to-face elements, supports digital education advancements and addresses challenges heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic.

By linking with the Creative Pact for Skills and integrating with EU-wide initiatives, GreenCCIrcle aims to foster a sustainable, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset among CCIs, enhancing their contribution to society’s green and digital transitions. This comprehensive approach not only targets immediate skill development but also ensures CCIs’ long-term resilience and impact on economic and social well-being.
