Objective
The objective is to respond to the changes in the structures and practices of industries and the world of work. The completion of the study module From digital competence to digital business provides the participant with updated competence and qualification to better meet the demands of the constantly changing world of work.
The objective is achieved by improving one’s hi-tech (technical skills) and hi-touch (interaction skills) competencies and obtaining the knowhow that is required to effectively operate in modern global networks. After completing the core content of studies (FutureMe, 20 ECTS cr), the participants are equipped with tools that help them find employment faster or support them in starting their own business.
The project aims to locally raise the employment rate and reduce structural unemployment by producing competence that is currently lacking in the labour market. Also, it seeks to increase the mobility of labour and promote the transit of people outside the scope of readily available workforce i.e. immigrants to the labour market.
The project is carried out by seven Finnish universities of applied sciences – Xamk, LAB, Laurea, Vaasa UAS, Lapland UAS, Kajaani UAS and Tampere UAS – by means of MOC. The project is coordinated by Xamk and funded by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture.
