A Path to Finnish Language

Kielipolku is a path to nursing Finnish language. A different way and approach to the new language. The project is supported by William ja Ester Otsakorven säätiö.

Walk in to Finnish langugage!

Kielipolku is a nice walk to Finnish language

In Kielipolku we create a functional language learning game including nursing-related vocabulary and interaction. Different tasks and vocabularies give both variation and repetition needed for a language learner.

It is soo good!

“I think this app is really helpful especially because it aims at the phrases we need to speak with customers as nursing students. Thanks, well done!”

What Kielipolku looks like?

In Kielipolku you walk on a language path in a nice Finnish park style environment. On your way you will see e.g. a hospital, an outdoor gym and an ambulance. On each stop of the path you get a different language task to do. By completing a task you get both stars and coins.

Coins you can spend on the store. Byu something nice to your room. Would you like to have a surfing board or a cactus? It is up to you.

Kielipolku includes e.g. following exercises:

  • match a picture and a word
  • find a word that doesn’t belong to the group
  • build a sentence
  • pick up a suitable reaction
  • listen and choose what to do
