AI-Akatemia
AI is a wide range of different technologies, and the opportunities for utilizing them are even broader. This project develops and pilots higher education training focused on AI. As a result of this development, educational institutions in Kymenlaakso will enhance their ability to train professionals with AI expertise and the business potential of the region will increase.
Understanding AI and mastering its tools is a critical part of the expertise of highly educated professionals. A key element is to offer students the opportunity to work on practical assignments that come from companies and R&D professionals. During the project, students will be tasked with exploring the latest technologies and utilizing effective AI tools to solve business challenges.
Objectives and outcomes
Objectives
- Improve the understanding and expertise of AI business potential in educational institutions and companies in the Kymenlaakso region
- Develop a new multidisciplinary higher education learning module (30 ECTS)
- Further develop the partnership model and learning environment created in the Dataamo project, which integrates data analytics, business, and design training programs with the region’s business community
- Productize and further develop the user experience of regional knowledge databases using AI, for the benefit of education and R&D activities, as well as for companies and regional organizations
Outcomes
- A 30-credit multidisciplinary training module
- Students participate in practical AI work
- Teachers enhance their AI expertise
- New R&D projects are initiated
- New innovations in AI utilization are created
