Thank you to all the stakeholders who participated in the project and to the wonderful women who went through the training. Our journey together has been amazing. A publication has been compiled about the operation and results of the project.

Service design training for educated immigrants

We offer free service design training in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area and online at three different times.

Why participate?

The training provides information on service design, service design tools and methods. Competence in service design improves opportunities for employment in various development tasks. You will receive a certificate of training.

In which language is the training held?
The language of the course autumn 2022 is English

Where is the training organized?

Training in Uusimaa is organized on Laurea’s campus in Leppävaara. Training days are held on weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm, once or twice a week.

The project aims to

strengthen the competence of digital service design among immigrants, especially womens, with higher education. We offer digital service design course in the Helsinki metropolitan area and online. The project will be implemented from 1 September 2021 to 31 August 2023.

During the training, students strengthen their corporate networks by working on business activities. Companies have the opportunity to strengthen the user-centricity and accessibility of their digital solutions for diverse users.

GOALS

In the long term, increase the proportion of women in research and development through training

Develop, pilot, and commercialize a digital Service Design training for highly educated immigrant women based on diverse learning

Develop a guidance model that supports training that takes into account the special characteristics of the target group

Improve digital service design skills and employment opportunities, especially for immigrant women
