THE “BUSINESS CASE” FOR EMPLOYEE DIGITAL WELLBEING IN SMES

A high-profile report with supporting materials opens digital wellbeing and raise awareness about the importance of introducing training.

DIGITAL WELLBEING CHECK-UP

An easy-to-use online tool for SME managers to evaluate their current level of digital well-being in the company.

DIGITAL WELLBEING TRAINING PROGRAMME

The Training Course is a unique and practical approach to the development of digital well-being that responds the rea-life needs and interests of SMEs.

Project objectives

The main goal of the project is to design, develop and implement a new approach to train SME managers and entrepreneurship teachers across Europe in digital wellbeing. DigiWorkWell -project aims to improve managers own digital competence, while also boosting the capacity of their organization to manage successfully digital working life transition.

DigiWorkWell -project empowers VET providers and the SMEs to navigate the digital transformation from a perspective of soft and managerial skills.

The project strengthens the skills and professional competence of SME managers. Project supports SME managers to overcome attitudinal barriers to change, acquire entirely new knowledge and skills, blending technical competence with the communication and intercultural skills.

VET sector, stakeholders and the business education providers will be more conscious of the role of teaching non-technical skills related to the growing use of digital technology.

Background

Along with the indisputable advantages of digital transition, the change has also brought with it challenges on the well-being of employees. New working life skills are required from both management and employees, which must be supported and strengthened with training and up-to-date information. In addition, a new mindset is needed, where soft skills are seen as part of digital skills alongside technical skills.

Digital wellbeing in the workplace -project (Digi WorkWell) focus on employee digital wellbeing. Project outputs support managers’ ability to create working environments and supervisory practices that recognize and mitigate the risks of intensive digital work, ushering in the new skills required for the next stage of digital transformation in SMEs.
