OHITE
The project responds to the challenges of continuous learning in a sustainable and carbon-neutral industry by building strategic networks to support competence development and three manufacturing or manufacturing industries (textile and fashion, bioproducts and engineering). In addition to educational institutions committed to implementation and associations representing industries, these networks are also invited to include other parties responsible for services and products in the field of competence development.
Realising the green transition requires a sustainable and carbon-neutral industry, and continuous learning is needed to support its development.
Measures
- Updating the competence needs and operating methods of continuous learning
- Creating a strategic network for continuous learning needs
- Developing a service model for continuous learning
- Assessment of the service model of continuous learning
- Sharing results and good practices
The outcomes
The outcome of the development work is a user-driven model for continuous learning that serves different industries individually and three industries together to ensure the competitiveness of companies. The model aims at using resources wisely and ensuring the added value of networks and partnerships. As a result of the strategic networks’ work, the anticipation capacity will increase. For example, the textile and fashion industry is undergoing a major transformation. New wood-based textile innovations and technical textiles overlap with both the bioproduct industry, and the mechanical engineering industry and co-development is a clear added value, even a necessity.
Target group
The actual target group of the project is the personnel responsible for the planning, development and provision of continuous learning for educational operators, as well as teachers (vocational education and higher education).
In addition, the target group is people responsible for continuous learning and competence development who belong to industry-specific networks.
Indirect target groups are the personnel of SMEs in three different manufacturing and manufacturing industries (engineering, textile and fashion, bioproduct) and those employed in the industry. Representatives of indirect target groups can use the results and practices generated in the project in the development of professional competence.
