Come along – better methods for recruiting participants into projects

The University of Applied Sciences of Southeastern Finland (Xamk) and other organisations in Kymenlaakso have
implemented numerous ESF funding period 2014-2020 Priority 5 and special objective 10.1 projects. Various
challenges in recruiting participants have been identified. COME ALONG project assesses the measures taken to
support inclusion and, on the other hand, the obstacles to participation in the projects. Special attention is paid to
digital inclusion.

The project evaluates the current funding period’s inclusion projects in Kymenlaakso (including
national benchmarking) to develop a more efficient model for recruiting participants. Actors and target groups in
different projects are widely consulted. The results of the project will have a direct impact on the preparation of new
projects and, in the long term, on increasing the inclusion rate of participants. The project has been completed.
