CBSmallPorts
Energetic Small Ports in the Central Baltic Region
CBSmallPorts project focused on energy efficiency and joint marketing of small ports in the region
The project is finished.
Several EU-funded projects have worked to improve the safety and infrastructure of small ports in recent years. Experts from Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Latvia have now joined forces to develop better services in small ports throughout the Central Baltic region. The CBSmallPorts project focuses on energy efficiency and joint marketing in the region.
The CBSmallPorts “Energetic Marina in the Central Baltic Region” project is funded by the Interreg Central Baltic program. The project’s ten partners, led by Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, are working together to improve the energy efficiency and marketing of small boat ports in the Baltic Sea region from 1 March 2020 to 30 November 2022.
Investments in Finnish small ports include e.g. installation of solar power plant and LED light posts in Sapokka in Kotka, LED-area lighting in Tervasaari in Hamina, modernization and relocation of the power line in Keihässalmi in Pyhtää, renovation of the saunas in Seili in Pargas and installation of new floating piers and solar panels in Airisto small port in Pargas.
