Nursing and Bioproduct Technology the most popular degrees 

There were a total of 161 applicants. 

The most popular bachelor’s degree programs (conducted in Finnish) were: 

• Nursing (Bachelor of Health Care), Mikkeli  
• Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering), Bioproduct Technology, Savonlinna 
• Nursing (Bachelor of Health Care), Savonlinna 

Among master’s degree programs, the most popular was the Master of Business Administration in International Business Management, which is offered in Kouvola and conducted in English.  

The timeline for the additional application process is fast-paced. Students are selected based on an entrance exam, a pre-assignment, or certificate-based selection. Entrance exams will be held during week 50, and the results will be announced shortly thereafter. Studies will begin in January 2025.  

The additional application round was for study places that remained unfilled in the autumn joint application round, covering 12 different degree programs.  

The next joint application period for Xamk will take place from January 8 to January 22, 2025, and will include English-taught degree programs.
