Bachelor’s Degrees

Studies begin:

  • Monday 13th January at Kouvola Campus.
  • Participation in the orientation days is mandatory for all students. Timetable for orientation days (pdf)
  • Students who have applied with a degree completed outside Finland, should prepare to present the original documents (all certificates and identification document) and the official translations at the beginning of your studies. The student selection is conditional until information about your qualifications used for applying has been checked. Qualifications are verified either from the national database in Finland or students must present the original documents by the given deadline January 2025. Detailed timetables for checking of the documents will be given by Student Affairs Office in December 2024.

Instructions for students from outside Finland

The contact days in this programme are delivered in-class on the Kouvola Campus, Finland. If you are unable to be present on campus when the studies begin due to delays in the residence permit process, contact your Student Affairs Advisor for further instructions. All students must be present on campus by 13 January 2025. The next possibility to start studies after that will be in August 2025 with a new group. Information on Xamk refund policy

Congratulations on your new place of study! Game technologies is a degree where your creativity and interests will directly shape your studies. To hone your networking skills and prepare you for working in the games industry, projects and teamwork play a major role in your studies at Xamk. Kotka is a city by the sea surrounded by beautiful Finnish nature. Strong winds are frequent, so dress warmly and explore our many parks on foot or by bike!

Your first week at Xamk will be dedicated to orientation activities to help you get to know your way around the campus and to meet your fellow students. Entry level tests and game nights will also take place during this week.

We’ll meet you at the Gamelab (A4019) at 10am, you’ll recognize us from dark red overalls.
