August 2025 intake

Studies begin:

Checking the original documents
  • Students who have applied with a degree completed outside Finland, should prepare to present the original documents (all certificates and the identification document) and the official translations at the beginning of your studies. Also students who have applied with a Finnish degree that has not been verified from the national database, should present the original certificate. 
  • The student selection is conditional until information about your qualifications used for applying has been checked. Detailed timetables for checking of the documents will be given by Student Affairs Office in August 2025.
Instructions for students from outside Finland

The contact days in this programme are delivered in-class on the Kouvola Campus, Finland. If you are unable to be present on campus when the studies begin due to delays in the residence permit process, contact your Student Affairs Advisor for further instructions. All students must be present on campus by 1 September 2025. The next possibility to start studies after that will be in January 2026 with a new group. Information on Xamk refund policy

In the meeting you must present the original documents via camera. Student Affairs Advisor will inform you before your studies begin how you can book the meeting.

  • Bring a vaccination certificate that shows all vaccinations you have received. This is to check that you have sufficient vaccination cover required for the practical training periods.

Studies begin:

  • on 28 August 2025 with online study sessions. A link to the first online session will be sent by email before the studies begin to students who have confirmed their enrolment in the programme.
  • The studies are, as a rule, conducted flexibly online. The degree programme includes one contact teaching period (3-6 November 2025) in Kotka. Participation in the online study sessions and in the contact teaching period is mandatory for all students.
