You can also choose complementary competence studies from other higher education institutions if they are at the master’s degree level.

This programme blends in-depth theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on learning, focusing on future trends, change management, and innovation.
Implementation of studies
Teaching will be arranged at the Kotka Campus as contact teaching, three days per week.
The degree programme utilizes, e.g., Moodle and various networking platforms and communication means (e.g. MS Teams, Skype). Separate courses utilize learning methodologies and environments that are suitable for each subject/topic.
Digital environments and BYOD – Bring Your Own Device
Digital learning environments are a part of daily student life. The environments offer tools for studying regardless of time and place and enable individual, flexible learning paths.
You can, for example, use Microsoft Office free of charge.
According to Xamk’s BYOD policy, students must bring and use their own devices on campus. More information is available on Xamk’s website.

In terms of studies and practical training, privately owned companies, particularly in Kymenlaakso region, are considered the most important partners, but Xamk also cooperates with public sector organizations and constantly aims to expand its network of cooperation.
