Kotka Campus

In Kotka, starting from the autumn of 2024, studying and working will take place at a new campus located by the sea in Kantasatama. The facilities are designed to be adaptable, and they will better utilize various simulation environments and laboratories.

The campus will host approximately 3500 future professionals in technology, social and health care, maritime and logistics, as well as the gaming industry.

In research and development, our focus in Kotka will be on areas such as manageable, secure, and user-friendly cybersecurity, as well as the development of oil spill response.

Adjacent to the campus, near the city center, are venues like the event center Satama Areena and the Maritime Centre Vellamo.

With the new campus, classrooms, laboratories, specialized facilities, and self-study areas are comfortable and modern. There are approximately 3500 students on campus.

Kotka produces engineers, nurses, paramedics, naprapaths, maritime captains, and social workers. In addition to degree education, expertise can also be gained through the Open University of Applied Sciences, Xamk Pulse.
