How is the training fee billed? The training fee is paid in three installments. The first installment (€5,000 + VAT) must be paid before the start of the training. The subsequent installments are due in October 2024 (€5,000 + VAT) and November 2024 (€4,900 + VAT ). Cambridge weeks will be billed according to their schedule and must be paid one month before the trip. For corporate payers, the invoice will be sent as an electronic or paper invoice. If you purchase module pairs without the entire training program, they will be billed in a single installment (€5,000 + VAT) per module pair one month before the start of the training modules. 

During the Cambridge weeks, you will have themed 1-on-1 meetings and events with professionals from various fields in the Cambridge networks. The purpose of these events is to grow your company’s international presence and network. In addition to regular teaching, the weeks include on-site events, visits, meetings, and unforgettable networking dinners in the magnificent Cambridge environment and the renowned university. 

You’ll have the opportunity to create personal international networks and learn in an environment buzzing with some of the most respected business veterans, developers, future prospects, and startup entrepreneurs.

The speakers and instructors in the XaMBA training program are successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, professors, researchers, and experts from fields such as business, export, growth, internationalisation, and technology. Many of them have built successful businesses and are eager to share their insights and open their networks to growth-oriented participants. The trainers are from Cambridge. After customisation, we select from over 100 trainers the ones that best fit each group, ensuring the necessary expertise. 

We do not require a degree certificate from your prior education, but to get the most benefit from this training, it is recommended that you are in middle or senior management. A lower or higher university degree is recommended but not mandatory. 

The training program is structured as follows: 

• Tutoring and personalization of training according to the needs of the company and participant. 

• Lectures and lecture materials for each module. Recommended readings are provided for each module. 

• Self-study based on areas of interest. 

• Company materials to help solve problems and explore opportunities. 

• Shared literature and personalized theoretical and practical perspectives. 

• Expert mentoring. 

• Peer support. 

• Your own work (reports, lectures, final project). 

The training is customised for each participant and organization based on the content of the modules. Customisation begins once the first installment of the training fee is received. Based on discussions, the right angle is considered to help the student develop relevant areas in their organisation. Learning materials and literature are also chosen personally for each student to support their learning and projects. 

There are no official admission requirements for the executive education program. However, you should have English language skills to listen to lectures and produce text in English. We recommend 5–10 years of work experience in management, but this is not a requirement for admission. 

A report is created for each module, which serves as the basis for the final project. The final project delves into topics such as digitalization and AI, change management, brand management, international business, and sustainability. The final project is done from your company’s perspective and is developed over 12 weeks. It is a summary of the previous eight reports already written.

Yes and no. The work is done for the company so if you want to pay for the training yourself, you can, but the work needs to be done for a company. Participation in the training requires a middle or senior management position so that development work can be implemented in the company and its operations. The purpose of the training program is to help companies develop. Learning occurs within the company or organisation through practical actions, advancing development areas. The hope is that during the program, other leaders and employees of the organization are involved in the development measures, ensuring that the learned concepts are implemented at a practical level for long-term benefits.  

Xamk Applied MBA, or XaMBA, is an executive education program where you enhance your professional skills as a leader and advance the strategic goals under your responsibility with the support of top professionals. The name XaMBA, with the first “a” standing for Applied, refers to our vision of an applied and practical approach. XaMBA is tailored to your and your organisation’s needs. 

During the training, you will immediately apply the theory and tools you learn to practice and advance your organisation’s business goals as part of your normal daily work.

When a student has completed all modules and submitted the final project, they receive a certificate of completion for the XaMBA executive education program. 

No, XaMBA is an executive education program that does not lead to a degree. 

What is the cancellation policy? You can cancel your registration free of charge up to 30 days before the start of the training. For cancellations made after this period, the full training fee will be charged. Cancellations must be sent to taydennyskoulutus@xamk.fi.
