How to get started
The following information is for incoming Erasmus+ and non-Erasmus exchange students who plan to come to Xamk for one semester or whole academic year.

Frequently asked questions
Accommodation is arranged differently in campus towns. Accepted students will receive instructions for applying the accommodation along with the admission documents. More information about accommodation per campus city.
Finland has a good mobile phone network and your home country subscription might be sufficient, though expensive.
You can buy a prepaid card, with a Finish phone number, pretty much from every grocery store or kiosk in Finland, or buy one from the telecommunications company’s brand store.
For Erasmus+ studies, we expect you to prepare the Online Learning Agreement (OLA) according to the instructions from your home university. In Erasmus+ traineeships, you can still use the traditional Learning Agreement for Traineeships document.
You need to contact your home university for the possible scholarship.
Exchange students need to contact the public health care center or private clinics in campus towns. Campus coordinators can provide you more detailed information.
If you are an EU-citizen you do not need a visa to study in Finland. However, registration is needed if you stay in Finland longer than 90 days. See the link below.
